# Delete a saved card

> Delete a saved card so it can't be charged again.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Delete tokenized card data" icon="link-simple" href="/nomba-api-reference/online-checkout/delete-tokenized-card-data" />
</CardGroup>

Delete a saved card when the customer removes it or cancels their subscription. A deleted card can't be charged again. Also delete the token from your own database, so your scheduled job doesn't try to charge it.

To replace a card, ask the customer to make a new card-saving payment, then delete the old card.

# `DELETE /v1/checkout/tokenized-card-data`

<Note>
  This request sends a body with `DELETE`. Some HTTP clients and proxies remove the body from DELETE requests. If you get an error saying `tokenKey` is missing, check that your client sends the body.
